In Love with a King

She rises in the morning and desires for him to be all that she longs for. She knows of her imperfections and though she wants to dwell on each of them...punish herself for her flaws and mistakes, He does not. She reads from His book and he gives it meaning for her. From it comes truth she desperately needed, understanding that makes all the difference. She spends less time talking with Him than she should; however, in each conversation she feels closer to love, closer to acceptance, closer to truth than before. She so often chooses things and others in place of Him yet somehow He loves her completely, purely, flawlessly. And though her imperfection is great and her faith so often so small, she is never less than perfect in his eyes. And he so often even matches her small hope with great outpourings of all things good. He loves her enough to challenge her, care for her, and teach her. Despite the fact this defies all that is common to those around her, she has accepted the freedom once bought at such a steep steep price. He paid greatly to love her so deeply. And she knows she could never run out of thankfulness for him, and never pay back the price of the life he has brought to her no matter what she did. And in brief moments she gazes upward and smiles.....for she is ever so fortunate to be a part of the greatest love story she has ever known. She has been captivated by the truest King. And she is loved completely.
